Maryann Lawrence is an award-winning journalist and author of two books, Season of the Great Bird and Uneventful. For the past thirty years, her short stories, poetry and essays have been published in journals and magazines throughout the US. She lives and works in Michigan. 

Sarah Penrose recently graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design. She has experience with web and mobile design, user research, and site development. When she's not working, she loves to cook and bake, take nature walks, and of course, read books.
